How adjustments differ for children

Children require much less force than adults. We use gentle, low-amplitude techniques tailored to a child’s size and stage of development. A pediatric adjustment often looks more like a careful press than the classic adult adjustment. We always explain what we are doing in age-appropriate language so kids feel comfortable.

Backpacks, screens, and growing bodies

A backpack should weigh no more than 10 to 15 percent of your child’s body weight. Both shoulder straps should be used. Screen time should be balanced with movement, and screens should be at eye level when possible. Posture habits set in childhood track into adulthood.

Youth sports and concussion
