STOCKTON SINCE 1994 · SAME-DAY APPOINTMENTS

Dizziness after a car accident? Stockton chiropractic care since 1994.

Post-accident dizziness, vertigo and balance problems often start in the upper neck. We do a careful exam, X-rays when needed, and gentle care to settle the nervous system.
UNDERSTANDING THE INJURY

What is Post-accident dizziness?

Whiplash and head impacts can disturb the small joints of the upper neck (the cervico-occipital region) and the inner ear pathways that control balance. The result is dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea or true vertigo that may show up immediately or days after the crash. Cervicogenic dizziness from upper neck injury is one of the most common patterns we see at Premier Chiropractic.

COMMON SYMPTOMS

What you may be feeling

Lightheadedness

Wooziness when standing, turning or looking up. Often worse later in the day.

Vertigo episodes

A spinning sensation, sometimes triggered by quick head movements.

Nausea

Queasiness that comes with the dizziness or after screen time.

Balance issues

Feeling unsteady walking, especially in the dark or on uneven ground.

Headaches

Pressure at the base of the skull along with the dizziness.

Brain fog

Trouble concentrating, slower thinking, fatigue with normal tasks.
OUR APPROACH

How we treat post-accident dizziness

We start with a thorough neurologic and orthopedic exam and on-site digital X-rays. Care typically includes gentle upper-cervical chiropractic adjustments, soft-tissue work for tight suboccipital muscles, simple vestibular and eye exercises, and home guidance for pacing and posture. Most patients notice steady improvement within the first few weeks. We coordinate with your medical providers and your attorney when the dizziness is tied to a documented accident.
